Our Homes

Our homes are located in quiet, residential neighborhoods throughout North Scottsdale that are close to local shops, parks, seniors and community centers as well as Mayo, Scottsdale Shea and Thompson Peak hospitals.

We have beautiful grounds for our residents to enjoy that we keep constantly maintained and we work to create an environment where they always feel safe and loved.

We’ve filled all of our homes with beautiful furniture and decorations and our caregivers are some of the warmest, most attentive and family oriented people we know. In fact we cared for Jana’s father at Casa Buenavante for a year before his passing & we are currently caring for Peter’s mom at North Scottsdale Place.

Casa Buenavante (More here)

We opened Casa Buenavante in 2004 and as soon as we saw it we knew it would be the perfect senior group home. It has a huge backyard and very large rooms for our residents and their families to relax and get comfortable. Our goal here as with all of our senior adult homes is that you and your loved one feel completely at home while you’re with us so please decorate your bedroom in whatever way you think will make mom or dad feel comfortable or if you would prefer, we can do all of the decorating for you.

Villa at Sweetwater (More here)

While our other three locations typically have a nice mix of male & female residents, the Villa became our “ladies only” assisted living home a few years ago, simply because that’s what the residents really wanted, so we figured out a way to accommodate them.

A typical day at the Villa, and all Colten Adult Care Homes for that matter includes a visit from Karen our activities coordinator who loves to do things as a group as well as interact one on one with our residents. She also loves birthday & holiday celebrations!

Sweetwater Place (More here)

Jana fell in love with Sweetwater Place right away because it was different from most of the homes in Arizona and reminded her so much of her childhood growing up in the Midwest. You don’t often see a traditional brick home fronted by a huge front lawn and circle driveway in Scottsdale.

We have no set visiting hours so please feel free to come visit whenever you can; and when you do, you’ll always be greeted by Dutchess, our house pooch and the Vice President of pet therapy at Colten Adult Care!

North Scottsdale Place (More here)

North Scottsdale Place is very special to us because it was our family home before we converted it into our first assisted living residence in 1998.

Our formal dining room has been turned into a resident’s bedroom, but there is still plenty of room to eat! Next time you come to visit please stay and join us for a meal. In all our homes we cook good old American cuisine and we always tailor our menus to our residents’ tastes.
